The Producers
This coffee is produced by a cooperative of smallholder farmers in the Aceh and Lintong regions of northern Sumatra who adhere to both Organic and Fair Trade practices. The cooperative model ensures that profits are shared fairly and reinvested into local infrastructure, education, and improved agricultural tools.
The Coffee
This coffee is processed using wet-hulling (Giling Basah), a traditional method where the parchment is removed while the bean still contains significant moisture. This speeds up drying in the humid climate and gives the coffee its signature earthy profile and full body.
